Today is Budget day here in the UK with the Chancellor giving his budget speech around lunctime, and to be truthful, I think it's going to be a pretty bleak day for many struggling households.
Maybe I'm just being pessimistic this early in the morning but we're in a pretty dire recession at the moment and I don't think it's going to get easier any time soon.
Please share your thoughts and worries here (and have a rant if you want!!).
Don't live there, but you all will be in my thoughts and prayers...I hope things improve for all of us soon. _________________ "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." - Anatole France
Well, to be truthful, it didn't seem as bad as I was expecting.
BUT, this country is in one helluva financial mess and I really don't think our Govt's figures add up. I think Gordon Brown and his lot have had their day now, trouoble is.... there's no-one decent to take his place!!
I do not understand how all this works politics has never been my strong point but I know we are all in trouble and yet the goverment still insist on stupid high wages for them selfs when every one else struggles if they cut their wage like the rest of us have had to then maybe there will be more money to go around and kick start some new sceams to help those worse off. _________________ www.pulling2gether.com/ www.lifestylesandremedies.co.uk www.thenuk.com www.hippylife.co.uk
Hear hear, HC!!! I think all politicians should take a pay cut, quit double dipping, and all the corporate giants too... then re-invest the money into the economy's of our countries (both of us) and that might help a small bit.
