A real treat on BBC4 tonight - Abigail's Party. Mike Leigh's superb satire on a middle-class dinner party. Never been bettered in my opinion. Part of a night devoted to the play starting at 9pm with a discussion on the play, the play itself at 10pm and a nostalgic look back at the 70s era at 11.45.

That play was sheer brilliance! Superb writing and casting. Once you've seen Alison Steadman's performance in it you'll never forget it!
