CHAKRAS
The seven energy centers of the body Chakras are the energy centers of the body, where body and Spirit most strongly connect. There are thousands of Chakras in every part of the body, which are connected to each other by meridians, or energy pathways. This is the basis of such systems of medicine as acupuncture, shiatsu, and moxidermy, which treat physical illness by applying stimulation to the Chakra points. In general practice however, most people work only with the seven major Chakras which correspond to the seven spheres of existence and the Seven Heavenly Bodies: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the Sun and the Moon.
These are the Root Chakra, at the prostate in males and the paraurethral gland in females, corresponding to the physical plane.
The 2nd Chakra, at the testicles in males and the ovaries in females, corresponding to the emotional plane.
The Solar Chakra, roughly at the navel, corresponding to the mental plane.
The Heart Chakra, at the heart, corresponding to the astral plane.
The Throat Chakra, at the throat, corresponding to the soular or egoic plane.
The Third Eye, at the level of the pineal gland, corresponding to the monadic plane.
And the Crown Chakra, at or above the top of the head, corresponding to the Divine
Chakras - from the Sanskrit term to mean, "wheel of light". The chakras refer to the seven energy centers in the body. Each is associated with a color:
Crown - Violet
Third Eye - Purple
Throat - Blue
Chest - Green
Naval - Yellow
Abdomen - Orange
Groin - Red _________________

CONE OF POWER
Energy or power raised within a circle by either an individual or group for a specific purpose. After the power is raised and visualized it is released to work the magick. It's important to ground yourself after this type of work by eating or drinking or just standing with your bare feet in touch with the earth. _________________

THE CENSER
The Censer or incense burner is used in our rituals and is important in
creating an atmosphere conducive to the ritual being performed. Any kind
of burner can be used, from the most ornate (the type used in churches
- church suppliers are a good source and have quite a variety) to the
most simple. Stick incense, too, is a good and acceptable alternative. |

Candles have long been used in association with magick and witchcraft, as indeed they have been adopted and used by many other religions for spiritual communication.
Candle magick is probably the oldest and simplest form of ritual magick still performed today. Ever since fire was discovered, the naked flame has been regarded as sacred. In ancient times they used to light touches to invoke the Goddess and Gods.
Today we symbolize those acts by utilizing candles. The naked flame remains the finest and easiest means of focusing in on power and energy.
The use of differently coloured candles symbolizes the nature of intent and ultimately the outcome of a particular spell. Coloured candles are therefore used to pinpoint our focus on a particular deity or planetary association. We need to understand the colour properties and other associations of candles to make magick work. |

CROSS-QUARTER DAYS
The traditional Pagan holidays which occur exactly between each Sabbat or seasonal festival; i.e., Candlemas, Beltane, Lammas and Samhain.
These are the 4 holidays that fall between the Quarter holidays. They are the midpoints of the season or Quarters and relate to lambing, harvest, planting, and slaughter times. As opposed to Solar dates of QUARTERS, these being the 4 holidays that recognize Solstices and Equinoxes. _________________
