Ok here's my not so good attempt at a Samhain poem. I literally wrote it like 4 hrs ago.
Celebration of the Stag
By: SalemWitchChild, Oct. 2007
Autumn time and we all dance to the chime.
Fires burn and hearts sublime.
Goddess sleeps and God now reigns.
Leaves sing a tune of a race.
Harvest moon bright and calling.
Gather the crops and prepare the feast.
Honor the lost ones and celebrate the new.
Dance to the drum and sing to the flames.
The stag is here to lead our games.
Samhain time the wheel has spun,
Honor ourselves and everyone.
May all of our days be blessed and with light.
For our god is here, and he sings his part.

Many thanks for sharing SWC. Very meaningful.
4 hours ago? Must have been a very early breakfast poem! I can't write decent poetry even when totally awake! _________________Learn from the birds what food the thickets yield; Learn from the beasts the physic of the field; The arts of building from the bee receive; Learn of the mole to plough, the worm to weave.
