In mythology Druantia is a fir tree goddess who probably had her origins in Gaul.
The root of her name, drus, means "oak," and links her also with oak trees and with the druids. Today she is associated with the dryads, the tree faeries, and reigns as their queen. The dryads protect their native trees by punishing those who show disrespect. Known as the "Queen of the Druids", Mother of the tree calendar; Fir Goddess. Fertility, passion, sexual activities, trees, protection, knowledge, creativity. She is derived from Celtic regions.
This is from Wikipedia. I am going to be looking into various Gods/Goddesses and post the origins of them. I hope if anyone has someone specific they are looking for info on, that they will contact me and I will have fun snooping and doing research into it. I guess this is a challenge to test me and see if I can find things others had trouble finding.

Thanks Koko. Now although I'm not really into Gods/Goddesses, for some reason Druantia, who I've not heard of before this post, has struck some sort of chord with me. How bizarre! _________________
