You Don't Say!!!!!Finally........ on the news today they've actually recognised that we're heading for a recession ............ hasn't this been glaringly OBVIOUS for the past few weeks now!!! They've been tip toeing around the issue saying we're in a 'credit crunch'...... bollocks... we've been slipping in to recession and its been plain for all to see!!
The powers that be won't do a damn thing about it though will they..... instead Gordon bloody Brown's best advice is 'Don't waste food' while he sat munching his way through an 18 course banquet at the G8 summit
When WILL the Labour party wake up and realise exactly what an idiot they have as a leader and get rid of him!?!?!?!?!?!?

The answer to your question, RS, is probably never!! Why would all those in Westminster care a hoot about the little people? (they never really have in the past ).
Makes my blood boil, though.

Sorry, this recession has little or nothing to do with Labour policies. Since the early 90's credit has been geting easier and easier to get, and people have been gambling on promotion, a recipe for disaster.
Essentially, people near the beginning of a career are sure they'll get promoted, take out credit cards and look forward to the repayments taking up less and less of their income. But while this worked in the 1970s - for their parents - low inflation and low wage increases spells disaster. If a manager retires or is promoted only one of his or her staff will get promotion. The rest will carry on paying their inflated mortgage and credit card bills. When they reach their credit limit that's it. Recession. But the high cost of world fuel and food, and the collapse of the sub-prime market, means that everything the Conservatives have ever believed - the Adam Smith principles - that capitalism must be allowed to continue with no interference and that people will make the wisest choices in what they buy, have been proved wrong.
