Thanks for that Mystress...

I'm more of a Torchwood fan myself... have you seen this over in the states??

I'm not sure.  The way I'm able to watch it is via YouTube.  Maybe the sci-fi channel on cable has it, but I haven't heard.  I also see sexy Tennent on YouTube (they no longer run any Doctor Who on our PBS).  I love John Barrowman!

Thanks, Riktor48! (maybe tell me sometime how to do the link).  YouTube also has shown some of the Troughton episodes. Unfortunately, they've been cracking down and changing the site to where one can't see them or much vids anymore.

Eccleston was the first Doctor of the new series.  Initially, I didn't like it (being a puritan), but it grew on me, then I saw Tennent...

Yep........  likewise!   But I was intensely annoyed at Eccleston reneging on his role after only one season.  Traditionally new actors playing the role have been expected to show commitment and stay on for two/three years.    So he's very much in my 'black book!'  LOL Sign

Oh...... no probs with your link as such - you just need to ensure no spaces between the url tag and the link itself.  Otherwise it won't work!

I think that I was put off mostly by the fact that Billie Piper was the assistant (am not a great fan of hers to be honest )

ps...Rik...can I ask...what is that you have as an avatar? I've been looking at it for ages and I can't make it out

It's one of Lady Sybil's ex-swamp dragons of course, Minty!  Called Hictorina...........  I just have to be very careful she doesn't hiccup.....

But in truth, she's a simple resin-cast red dragon I saw at a charity shop.   Cost me all of two quid........ but I couldn't resist her!

same here, Minty.  she was a let down from the original Dr.Who assistants.  like feminism in reverse...

I would tend to agree, Minty and Mystress

Out of the new assistants, I confess I much preferred Catherine Tate, even tho' I didn't like her as a comedian in her own shows.  I was very sorry to see her go.

In the original series........ Leela rated quite high..........

Thanks for clearing that up, Rik, I could see some scales, I just couldn't make her out (forgive me, Hictorina )
