I had this all planned, but will probably just have to stick to the bottom section as I'm finding it hard to get out of bed They do sound a little fluffy, but I like them (I would say that, though, cos I wrote them )
Imbolc Rituals 2009
Turn a light on in each room (or light a candle) in honour of the Sun’s rebirth.
When the last light is on (or candle is lit) say:
With the lighting of these lights,
I welcome back the Sun,
Bringing light and warmth and joy,
For me and everyone.
Then turn off any excess lights.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Light a candle in honour of the Gods’ rebirth and the Goddess’ return to her maiden aspect.
Leave the candle to burn out naturally, do not extinguish!
Say whilst lighting the candle:
I light this candle to honour the Gods,
At this time of their rebirth,
My Lord-to life, My Lady-to youth,
Bringing greenery back to the earth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Either or both of these can be performed for Imbolc, they do not have to be performed together or even at the same time.

Thanks Minty they sound good.... something small I can get away with even with mother and her obsession that I'm going to burn the house down! _________________ There's no point being a spectator in life! |

Yep, well they were the plan, but as is so often the way with things I plan, I end up doing something completely different (and I did ).
I ended up lighting two candles, one each for the god and goddess, and I placed them in my cauldron (that since buying 18 months ago, has just sat under my bed), as it was the safest container that I had that I could put the candles in and be able to walk away from. I was also eating some chocolate and got this urge to place some of it as an offering in the cauldron, too (so I did).
The cauldron now has it's lid on, waiting for the snow to go away so that I can go in the garden and bury the offerings
